When booking, a deposit of £100 per holiday home per week or short break, £50 per week per touring caravan/tent, £50 per break per Orchard Pod is required. This deposit is non-refundable. Balances of all holidays are to be paid 6 weeks before arrival, via the telephone or online. Non-payment may lead to the booking being cancelled. Please note that we do not send reminders.

We welcome many different group bookings from sports tours to family groups. Unfortunately, as we are a family holiday park we do not accept stag or hen parties.

Persons under the age of 21 are not permitted to hire any Holiday Homes. We do not accept groups of unaccompanied teenagers. Persons under the age of 25, other than families, will be required to pay a deposit. This will be refundable, dependent on the condition of the holiday home on departure and general behaviour during the stay.

Our Maple Holiday Home has been specially adapted to accommodate guests with mobility impairments. From your accommodation, all the amenities of Castle Brake can be reached by wheelchair. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about accessibility. You can also read our access statement here.

We can accept up to two dogs in certain units, subject to an additional charge of £30 per dog week (£15 for a short break). Please ask about this at the time of your booking to ensure we can accommodate your request. Please note that dangerous dog breeds are not permitted.

All of our holiday homes are non-smoking.

At a cost of £25 per Holiday Home or £10 for a touring/camping pitch, you can reserve specific pitches or holiday homes. If you have particular requirements or would like two or more pitches/units together, we strongly recommend this option to ensure your group isn’t separated.

You have the option to take out cancellation insurance at the time of your booking. The terms of this insurance are laid out in our terms and conditions. You are strongly advised to ensure you understand this document fully before placing a booking. Unless cancellation insurance is purchased, Castle Brake regrets that refunds cannot be made under any circumstances.

Prices are per holiday home (not per person) and include:

• Pillows, duvets and bed linen – excluding orchard pods
• Crockery, cutlery and utensils  – excluding orchard pods
• Gas, electricity and hot water – excluding orchard pods
• Access to our sister site Ladram Bay Holiday Park which includes up to 6 swimming pool passes for 2-bedroom models and up to 8 swimming pool passes for 3-bedroom models, full entertainments access, free entry for all children’s clubs and free parking. Please note Touring bookings do not receive passes.

Unfortunately due to health & safety reasons, we do not permit home delivery vehicles on park. Our small shop in reception stocks some essentials and food & drink. Should you need to purchase other items there are a number of large supermarkets in Exmouth and Exeter.

You can check into your accommodation from 4 pm, but you are welcome to arrive earlier and enjoy a drink in the Castle Inn or stretch your legs on a local walk. Check-in times for holiday homes are shown on the description pages of this website.

Holiday homes must be vacated by 9.45am and tourers must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.

Our reception is open for you to check in until 17.00 (extended until 18.00 in peak season). Should you arrive after this time please call the out of hours number noted on the reception door, 07800 801038.

Leave M5 at Junction 30, follow A376 to Sidmouth. At the roundabout take second exit onto the A3052 to Sidmouth. After 4.5 miles turn right at the Hidden Oak onto the B3180. After 2 miles turn right at Woodbury Park. Castle Brake entrance is 500 yards up on your right hand side past Woodbury Park entrance. Sat Nav users please use EX5 1HA
